6/10/2012 Lake Conditions/Fishing Results

I have been very busy guiding and as a result have not posted a fishing report for awhile.  The fishing has been up and down and on and off for good results.  The vast majority of  the fish have now spawned and as a result should now start to feed up from the rigors of the spawn.  We have had some colder weather than normal combined with some high winds that have made this past week pretty tough.  We now seem to be headed in a stable weather pattern and a warming trend which should improve the bite and put more action into the "topwater baits"".  I have been working most of the time with senko's and drop shot baits with my customers.  I will now start working with various topwater baits such as frogs, wake baits, buzz baits, popper style plugs, etc.
The North end of the lake has gotten very weedy in many areas so working topwater baits over these areas can produce some results.  Tournament action has dropped way off which is normal for the summer time and should result in less boat traffic on the weekends.  The biggest  fish that customers caught these past three weeks were in the 6lb range with most still in the 2 to 4 lb range.  Remember if you want to see the ""Daily Catches"" and the size of fish my customers caught, simply go to my latest photo page, (which is June) and the photos are posted and listed in date order.  Click on any photo for the information about the trip.
    Thanks'  and God Bless,  Bob

Hi Rick, thanks for taking the time to review it. I will try to keep the fishing reports updated. Had a good trip this morning with two guys catching 16 fish in five hours, all on drop shot six inch worms, folkstead special and salt river craw colors. (robo) biggest a 4 1/2.
