Fishing/catching seems to be steadily improving. Water conditions are also improving with better clarity and the algae blooms are pretty much gone. Most of the fish we are catching are solid 2 1/2 lbers up to 4 pounds on average with some 5lbers mixed in. The tournament folks are winning with their best five fish going over 25lbs. There is topwater action first thing in the morning with rico style poppers, buzzbaits, spooks, etc. The frog action is picking up a little as dropping water levels are exposing more weed mats and they are becoming more defined and matted. Overall the vast majority of fish being caught are on drop shot rigs, but other techniques such as deep cranking, jig's, nail weighted senko's fished deep, & shakey head jigs can & will put fish in the boat. To have any reasonable success you are going to have to cover a lot of water picking off a fish here and there. The silverside minnows are showing up in mass all over the lake so it is possible to find a few bass concentrated in certain areas feeding on the silversides. For the drop shots, a whole variety of colors and baits are working. I have been using baby brush hogs, robo worms and zoom worms for my primary batis. Both dark colors such as the robo MMIII and also lighter colors such as zooms watermelon candy are all working. That's it for now, God Bless, Bob
